This is all from the NESN Trade Deadline show. Great job by Tom Caaron, Lou Merloni, and Nick Cafardo.
Red Sox get Jason Bay (LF) from the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Dodgers get Manny Ramirez (OF) from the Boston Red Sox.
Pirates get a boatload of players. They get Craig Hansen (P) and Brandon Moss (LF) from the Boston Red Sox. From the LA Dodgers, they get Andy LaRoche (3B) and Bryan Morris (P).
I've said it already, but I still am not happy about this. I think giving up Craig Hansen is okay, but Brandon Moss too? If we look at our end, we lost three players, and got one. Granted, Hansen and Moss are not even close to adding up to how much Manny is worth. However, Moss is a solid player. I want him as a back up now that Manny isn't here. Granted, we still have Coco and Ellsbury, but really now, let's be serious. If you add up both their RBI total, you can just barely surpass Manny's RBI total. The future of the Boston Red Sox is a very interesting one.
