Can't stop thinkin' about the Sox

Pats, I love you guys...but today is a baseball day.

Honestly, I have so much trouble watching football in October.  Right now the New England Patriots are losing at half time, and I haven't even watched a kickoff.  That's because when I flip my calendar to October, it's baseball time.  If the Sox aren't in it, well then, I certainly won't object to watching football.  But today is a baseball day.  I was very happy to see the Phillies advance to the NLCS.  I personally don't want Manny Ramirez anywhere near another championship ring, so we'll see how that goes.

As far as our own boys are concerned, Lowell is back in the lineup, but Friday night's hero JD Drew is not.  Here's what we got:

1)  Jacoby Ellsbury RF

2) Dustin Pedroia 2B

3) David Ortiz DH

4) Kevin Youkilis 3B

5) Jason Bay LF

6) Mike Lowell 3B

7) Jed Lowrie SS

8) Jason Varitek C

9) Coco Crisp CF

Game 3...Keep the Faith.

Post game notes:

-Coco Crisp:  Coco will make his first postseason start of 2008 tonight in centerfield.  I personally am very happy for Coco, since he's not likely to see much more playing time unless he's pinch running.  Nonetheless, I hope JD is available for the next game, whenever that may be.

  1. I think the Patriots were winning 17-14 at halftime. I'm rooting for the Phillies too, though part of me wants to see a second Boston/LA rivalry in 2008.

  2. I hear ya, Terence.  It'd be great to "beat LA" once again, and it'd be even better to boo Manny out of Fenway.  But like I said, I just don't wanna see Manny near another ring.
