Playoffs are here as of Wednesday and am I ever pumped. The sox made it two years straight now inspite of having suffered enough injuries to bring down any lesser team. Of course "Wild Card" dosn't sound as good "AL East Champion" but as a Red Sox fan, I'm used to the wild card and know what can happen when the chips are down. And the chips may indeed be down for the Sox this year. We had a terrible season against the Angels and if our recent play is any indication, the out look is bleak.
Not to mention Injuries. Our Ace Josh Beckett has been pushed back in his start to game 3, a game that won't matter if we don't win one of the two before it, both of which are in the belly of the beast. Drew won't be at 100% even if he does get the start, and neither with Mike Lowell for that matter. We need to step it up here in the playoffs cause our play in the last month was speratic and no where near the level of we need to be at if we're gonna take on the Haloes let alone the Rays.
On a positive note we have a good record against the Haloes in the Postseason, in recent history. When also consider the fact that Matsuzaka is undefeated away and is making the second start is a very positive thing. If our Offence gets going we'll be unstoppable, if not it'll be a short postseason
