Randy Johnson vs. Tim Wakefield
The last time these two pitchers faced off was Sept. 11, 2005 at Yankee Stadium.
Kevin Youkilis was in the game with a black eye like I’ve never seen before. And my favorite, David Ortiz, is chomping at the
bat to get back in the game but rehab will be slow.
1st Inning. Game started on time…no rain! No score either.
2nd Inning: Lowell gets a hit. Coco doubles. Moss gets a hit and a run comes in. 1-0 Sox.
Things got a little exciting in the 5th but nothing became of it.
The 6th Lowell gets another double. Cash walks. Moss flies out but Lowell gets home 2-0 Sox.
We made a lot of nice plays in this game but left too many men on base. In the eighth Coco makes his first career 3 doubles in one game. We need everything we can get out of him before he’s suspended.
And of course the camera man always finds something for me to smile about at Fenway. One of the workers sticks his head out of the scoreboard in centerfield!
Hey, the 8th inning isn’t over folks we’re just getting hot! Cash gets a 3 run homer making it 5-0 Boston. His last homerun was June 21, 2005! He was due!
9th Inning gets hairy as usual. Hanson is pitching and loads the bases! Me and mom are screaming! Papelbon comes in with the snake’s venom oozing on the field. Papelbon kills the snakes and they slither away into their holes. Sox win 5-0.
My heart………….
