Allow me to dissect and explain three glaring cases:


 
Ichiro is having another solid year in centerfield. He has scored 57 runs, has swiped 33 bases, and carries an OBP of .356. He has a hose in centerfield and he still runs the bases as though his pants were on fire. But he’s playing for a horrendous, underachieving Mariners club and his .297 batting average is a full 34 points below his career mark.

nk that's what caused the Sox to throw in the towel.  I think it was the two errors in the 3rd.Ichiro stepped to the plate and for the first time in a very long time Youkilis couldn't come up with a low throw from Lowell.

have a few big bats but for the most part they score with base running and clutch base hits.  Ichiro will again lead this line-up and I am going to go out on a limb, he will have over 200 hits.  The biggest question for this team is the middle relief and set-up.  JJ Putz is possibly the best closer in baseball but they could have trouble getting him the ball.  I think this team will answer most of these questions stay in the race all year long, maybe even win it.
