isses a wide open jump shot after a lot of crazy madness

Kobe misses a jumper, Rondo the rebound. Pierce loses the ball under the basket, ball out, Celtics ball.

Garnett has 10 of the C's 16 points to start the game. Yeah, somebody poked the sleeping, uh, Big Ticket.

Not starting out well at all. Perk fouls Bynum, Perk's 4th... then Artest steals the ball from Pierce. Pierce Blocks the shot, and is called for a foul. Garbage. Pierce had all ball there. van Gundy agrees. haha.

Now folks are going to be all over Pierce for losing his dribble in the final seconds of the game. Sadly, this is the problem with the Celtics team. If Pierce had been in the same position at the end of regulation I would have trusted him more to get to the basket or to draw a foul. In OT, I think

Meanwhile, the big 3 scored 64 of the C's 120 points. Pierce finally warmed up and ended 3 assists shy of a triple double. Garnett hit key shots to stop a Cav's run. Ray Allen was just deadly from beyond the arc. Rondo didn't have a huge game, but he didn't have to. Indeed, he sat longer in this game than he did the entire rest of the series.

Next thing you know it's half time, and the Orlando is up by 12 and Ray Ray can't hit a shot. Pierce and Rondo look extremely tired -- not good for the Celtics. This bad news and bad start would continue as the Magic would have a 20 point lead in the 3rd quarter and this time they keep it, ending up with an ugly final score of 117-96!  As the Professor always says, if Rondo is on, we win; if not we lose!!! And last night the Professor said, "I believe Rondo is off tonight [which he was] and it looks like

We want Pierce being the captain that he is and taking control like he does in crucial moments. We want Ray Ray hitting his jumper (huge!) and Perkins and Big Baby Davis just doing what they do. And of course, we want to see KG back on the court working his magic.

They had a chance with Pierce's wing and a prayer three point attempt, but Solomon's' block shut it down.  So it is over and the final score in the game 121 - 118. So now it's time to move past this, and get ready for Tuesday.   This is the perfect time to go up 3 -2 and keep the Bulls on their toes.  (Keep in mind the longer we string this out, the longer KG will have to heal).

Paul Pierce, who defended like he did in his early years, is sometimes just not athletic enough to defend against the Joe Johnsons and LeBron James's. Thus this leads to KG stepping into the lane to get

Garnett and Allen, and a couple of cagey vets, House and Posey.  Add the Hungry Man, Paul Pierce to the mix, and Danny's got a pretty tasty TV dinner on the table.

But winning an NBA Championship this year still seemed like it would take a minor miracle for the Boston Celtics. Compete?  Obviously. Win 50 plus games?  Highly likely. Win the Eastern Conference?  Very possible.  But knock off a powerful Western team and bring the Title back to Boston?  Hmmm.  If we had a leprechaun on our side, I'd say maybe?
