Welcome to the New Garden...Same as the Old posted on 05/07/2008
After attending Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semis last night at the "New" Garden, I now feel like I have an understanidng of what it was like around these parts back in the 80's. I've had the privelage of going to Red Sox, Patriots and Bruins playoff games, but last night's Celtics game was easily the loudest and most intense one I've ever been to. From the national anthem, to the final 30 seconds no one was at a loss for words. Having a villan like Lebron James didn't hurt the crowds vocal cords, however it was extremley fufilling to me to see "Celtic Pride" and "Believe in Boston" banners everywhere. Growing up with such tradition, it's awesome to me to see both fans of the 70's and 80's teams, and now my generation able to share in the passing of the torch of sorts for this Celtics team.
