• Don't panic  Red Sox fans yet!  Yes, Boston was swept by Tampa Bay and are on a losing streak. It is still April and the Sox have been the walking wounded with David Ortiz, Mike Lowell, and Daisuke Matsuzaka out with injuries. These injuries will pass just like the Old Towne Team's losing streak. Let's be patient and not worry just yet

Red Sox's Ortiz sits out again because of knee bruise

         The Associated Press has just reported that the Boston Red Sox jersey of David Ortiz buried under Yankee Stadium earlier this month has sold for $175,100 in a charity auction for The Jimmy Fund.  282 people bid on the jersey that was buried under two feet of concrete  under the Stadium.  I am glad that this story has a happy ending and a positive result from this heated rivalry.

Hi, I'm Scott. It's great to be part of the Red Sox Blogging  Nation. I have been a print journalist for 15 years and a Red Sox fan for 30.
